Artist Statement
My work is comprised of macro, abstract photography. I always find myself capturing patterns, shapes, and textures with significance. Spanish moss from a historical city, black sand from a volcanic beach or an exotic flower in a rainforest, it's never simple abstraction. Each image and pattern draws back to memories, history, existance, and its resiliance. Every capture is a moment of significance waiting to be transformed into a visual image that carries the escence of us all. Bringing the past into the present through a magnified glass, my work is an explosion of color, memory, life, and its significance. I strive to incite the viewer to pause and reflect on what is being seen. Take a moment to stand still and, through my lens, admire the overlooked details and their importance. Always in place, being witness to time. Truly connecting to nature through a visual aspect and capturing multiple escenses and aspects through my work.
